We are currently recruiting for residential and non-residential (day) volunteers.

Volunteering at Pilsdon can take many different forms. Most volunteers live at Pilsdon for a period of between 6-12 months, whilst others who live locally come and support community life as ‘day’ volunteers.

The community has a smallholding where we tend a vegetable garden, rear animals, and hand milk our cows twice a day. We are committed to treading lightly on the earth, to nurturing biodiversity and protecting diverse habitats.

Residential volunteers are a vital part of our community, and contribute hugely to the work and life of Pilsdon. We are looking for people who are physically fit, and are able to work flexibly and collaboratively with others. Work varies from weeding the garden to cooking meals, drinking lots of tea with others to decorating cakes. Having a good sense of humour helps!

We would expect volunteers to be sympathetic to Pilsdon’s Christian ethos, although you don’t have to be a Christian to volunteer, we welcome all faiths and none.
